The hype around Marvel’s Avengers seems to have quieted down once again now that the release of both War for Wakanda and the Spider-Man DLC have come and gone, but the game is still moving along as players wait for the 2022 road map to kick into high gear in the coming months. Each week brings a new content rotation and the occasional special event or activity and this week has some exciting Marketplace updates and deals.

As always, the weekly Marketplace update features a rotation of the main cosmetics that are up for grabs in Marvel’s Avengers. This week isn’t MCU themed, but instead focuses on the cold weather that has arrived with the winter months as we wait to see what 2022 brings to the game. In addition to takedowns and nameplates, players can also check out the Polar Blast outfits.

Even if players aren’t looking to pick up the Polar Blast costumes, it will still be worth visiting the store at least once this week. As has become tradition, the rotation brings a new free item that can be claimed once while it’s available. This time around the item offers a 2hour Fragment Extractor.

“The Marketplace is a place for us to feature purchasable cosmetics in the form of Outfits, Emotes, Takedowns, and Nameplates. The Marketplace’s Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary items rotate weekly, and can be purchased with Credits.”

Polar Blast Outfits

Stay frosty in the next batch of Polar Blast Outfits, this week featuring the ones for Black Widow, Thor, and Ms. Marvel! Also in this week’s Marketplace is Black Panther’s White Tiger Outfit and Captain America’s Arctic Tiger Outfit, which are thematic matches for the Polar Blast set!

Takedown Updates

Thor’s Don’t Even Need a Hammer Takedown

Iron Man’s new Time for a Pick Me Up Takedown

Captain America’s It’s a Classic for a Reason Takedown

Weekly Free Item

This week’s free item is a 2-hour Fragment Extractor.

It is usually new MCU outfits, like Hawkeye’s recent Civil War one, that bring a mad rush to the game’s Marketplace, so this may be a slower week. That said, the 50% off sale is pretty tempting, so some players may be willing to break out their wallets to take advantage of that value. The game doesn't have any major content releases on the immediate horizon, so it will need to keep the rotating events and Marketplace extra interesting to keep players engaged this month.
